Sustaining Success: Creating A High Performing Team
Any leaders success, if it is to be sustained for a substantial period of time, is directly tied to the capability and performance of their team. Through many years and opportunities to lead, observe and be a part of a large variety of teams, we have developed a comprehensive guide called the 10 Characteristics of a High Performing Team. As an extension to an existing engagement or a stand-alone process, we initially introduce the 10 Characteristics to a team using real examples of what 'right looks like'. We use these examples and apply them to the existing environment and team. This allows a team to understand the 'intellectual' aspect of what it means to be a High Performing Team. While the intial step is necessary and critical, it is the next phase where the real work begins.
The 10 Characteristics are then put to the test with the team as they work through and deal with real-time, real-life situations that they are faced with everyday. This is a hands-on process by the Team, the Leader and the Coach. As with any change, this is a process that takes place over time but the results are real and typically represent a step-function change in the overall effectiveness of a team and it's ability to sustain success.
